Strawberry Park Elementary School student Anissa Corser was awarded honorable mention by the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians for her design of a poster for the Tar Wars anti-smoking campaign. Her posture featured a bird flying over mountains and a river. The poster's slogan was "When you're tar free you fly as high as can be." The award was particularly important to Anissa because her grandfather recently died as a result of smoking-related lung disease.
