Stephen Brady Conn 1971-2003

Steamboat Springs resident Stephen Brady Conn died unexpectedly at his home July 10, 2003. He was 32.

Born in Belgrade, Yugo-slavia, Brady traveled with his family for many years. Bogotá, Colombia; Williamsburg, Va.; Cape Cod, Mass.; and The Hague, Netherlands were among his homes.

Conn graduated from high school at the American School of The Hague and attended Nova College in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and the University of Maryland at College Park before settling in Steamboat in 1992.

Conn was a free spirit whose enthusiasm and generosity endeared him to all. He lived hard and played hard. Foremost, he valued his friendships and the company of his friends. His dog, Rosie, was a constant companion. He took great pleasure in snowboarding, hiking, camping, playing tennis, listening to music and working on his computer. He was employed in a variety of service and management positions in Steamboat.

Conn loved his family members and was loved by them.

He is survived by his father, Stephen Conn, and his father's wife, Dianne, of Easton, Md.; his mother, Barbara Brady Conn of South Deerfield, Mass.; his sister, Sarah, of Tacoma, Wash.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A mountaintop service was held July 20, 2003, in Steamboat. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. Aug. 9, 2003, at Newton Cemetery in Newton, Mass.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Stephen Brady Conn Memorial Fund in care of Stephen Conn, 7416 Tour Drive, Easton, MD 21601, or Barbara Brady Conn, 8B Duncan Drive, South Deerfield, MA 01373.
