Gmeiner earns B.A. from UNC

Zach Gmeiner, a 1998 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, graduated in December 2002 with a bachelor of arts degree in kinesiology/exercise and sport science from the University of Northern Colorado. He also was named to the university's dean's list of academic distinction. In April, Gmeiner became a National Strength and Conditioning Association certified personal trainer. He will attend a workshop this summer to become a certified cancer exercise specialist.
Markowitz earns degree with honors

Katie Markowitz, a 1997 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, received a bachelor's degree with honors in international studies from the University of Oregon. Markowitz also received a certificate in teaching English as a second language.
Chapman earns theater arts degree

Joe Chapman, a graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in theater arts from Stephens College in Columbia, Mo. Chapman also was named to the school's second semester high honors dean's list for the 2002-03 academic year.
Carter graduates from UVM

Benjamin Carter of Steamboat Springs received a bachelor's degree in political science during the May commencement ceremonies at the University of Vermont.
