Colorado DOW offering hunter education class

The Colorado Division of Wildlife offers a hunter education class from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Aug. 5-9 at Colorado Mountain College for people wishing to hunt big game this fall. The class is open to all ages, but students must be able to read at a third-grade level. Cost is $10; call 870-4444 to register.

Breast cancer group seeks committee members

honor education director

A celebration to honor Sister Mary Ann Flax's almost 30 years as director of religious education at Holy Name Catholic Church in Steamboat Springs and St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Oak Creek will be held Sunday. A community Mass at noon at Holy Name (the regular 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Martin of Tours in Oak Creek will not be held) will be followed by a reception from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at Holy Name. Artistic car owners asked to compete in stampede
