Helen Mackey Klinger

1918-2003

Helen Mackey Klinger died Feb. 1, 2003, in Warren, Ohio. She was 84.

Helen was born Oct. 8, 1918, in Warren, Ohio, to parents George and Stella Mackey. She graduated from Vienna High School.

She attended floral design school in Cleveland and was a floral designer for 60 years before retiring in 1991.

She married David Klinger in 1937.

Helen was a member of the Vienna Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed miniature painting, knitting, sewing and baking. She also served on the Vienna Bicentennial Committee.

She is preceded in death by a brother, J. Milton Mackey; three sisters, Linden Lewis, Florence Tidd and Alice Huffman; and three nephews.

Helen is survived by two sons, Kenneth Klinger of Steamboat Springs and Lance Klinger of Vienna, Ohio; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
