n Steamboat Springs City Council meets at 4:45 p.m. in Centennial Hall.

n Author Doris Burton will sign her revised and expanded book "Blue Mountain Folk" from noon to 6 p.m. at the Museum of Northwest Colorado in downtown Craig. Admission to the museum is through the end of the year. Call 824-6360.

n A free support group, sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association, will meet from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in the VNA lounge of Yampa Valley Medical Center. The group is open to family members caring for someone with dementia. Call 879-8942.

n Steamboat's Over the Hill Gang offers guided skiing to intermediate skiers 50 and older. Meet at 9 a.m. across from the Billy Kidd statue.

n Columbine Singers will present "A Mountain Town Holiday Concert" at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Steamboat Springs High School auditorium. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students and $1 for seniors and children younger than 12, available from chorale members or at the door.
