Hicks earns
bachelor's degree

Elisabeth Hicks, a 1999 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Redlands at California with a bachelor's degree in anthropology and history.
She received the Outstanding Student Award from the anthropology and history departments.
Hicks works for a sea kayak company in Alaska, and she plans to enter the Peace Corps in March.
Daschle named
to academy dean's list

Michael Daschle, a 2000 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, was named to the dean's list at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, N.Y.
Cadet Daschle is concentrating his studies in philosophy and plans to graduate in 2004, after which he will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army.
Daschle is the son of Dave and Cheri Daschle.
Rogers named
to president's list
Steamboat Springs
Eddie Rogers, a 2002 graduate of The Lowell Whiteman School, earned a spot on the president's list at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs' College of Engineering.
Rogers, who maintained a grade-point average near 4.0, also earned his Eagle Scout award in 2002. He will attend the Colorado School of Mines this fall to continue his engineering studies.
He is the son of Peggy and Bud Rogers.
