Q: When did you move to Routt County and what brought you here?

A: 1991. I moved to Steamboat for a band.

Q: What's the biggest risk you've taken recently?

A: Promoting and hanging my own art show

Q: Describe your morning routine.

A: Wake up, brush my teeth and hair, sometimes write a few lines, then go to work.

Q: Have you ever had a book change your life? What was it and why?

A: Almost every book I read, make small, sometimes big changes in my life (if I'm paying attention).

Q: What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

A: Listen to the advice that you give others. If you're giving it, you usually need it.

Q: When you meet someone new, what are the first three things you tell them about yourself?

A: That I do more than ride my bike or snowboard; that I'm a little shy, but I don't need words to convey that message; and that I'm just a regular guy.

Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A: An adult. So I can make my own decisions and make my own mistakes.

Q: What kind of music did you listen to in high school? What kind of music do you listen to now?

A: Both kinds of music -- rock 'n' roll. I try not to be as close minded as I was.

Q: If you could invite any four people over for dinner, who would they be, what would you serve and what would you talk about?

A: Jesus, Buddha, my dead grandmother and my dying grandfather. We would fondue veggies and meats, drink wine, and talk about life and the reason for human existence, and what we could do personally to add to this collage we call life.

Q: In the Meatloaf song, "I'll do anything for love, but I won't do that." What is "that"?

A: Change the way I live or try to change the way someone else lives.

Q: Do you collect anything?

A: Friends, memories, tools, my art and the materials to make my art.
