7:21 a.m. A motorist drove away without paying for $20 worth of gas at Kum & Go. Police took a theft report.

8:11 a.m. Police assisted the Routt County Sheriff's Office by checking on the welfare of a horse in Big Valley.

8:21 a.m. A stray dog was reported on Melrose Lane. Animal Control responded.

9:10 a.m. A stray dog was reported on the bike path near Springs City Diner. Neither police nor the person who called in the dog could catch the animal.

12:43 p.m. A lost cell phone was reported in Steamboat.

2:17 p.m. A two-vehicle accident was reported in the 100 block of Maple Street. No one was injured.

3:41 p.m. A dead bird was reported in the 900 block of Crawford Avenue. Police checked out the animal and confirmed it was dead.

6:10 p.m. A two-vehicle accident was reported in the Wal-Mart parking lot. One vehicle drove away. Police are investigating.

6:18 p.m. A 50-year-old intoxicated woman in the Fish Creek Trailer Park told police she could not take care of herself and asked for their help.
