The deadline for the Navigator awards is Monday.
Steamboat Pilot & Today and the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association present the awards each year to recognize the contributions of outstanding businesses and business leaders.
The awards will be presented Oct. 5 at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort and Conference Center during the Chamber's gala dinner.

Leadership class openings remain
Leadership Steamboat has a few openings available for the 2002-2003 class, which begins on Thursday.
Leadership Steamboat is a community sponsored and supported yearlong program linking public, private and non-profit leaders to broaden participants' knowledge of the community.
Its goal is to educate emerging volunteers and leaders to the realities, opportunities and challenges in the Yampa Valley.

Floral shop changes hands
Cathy Vogelaar is the new owner of Steamboat Floral and Gifts at Fifth and Lincoln in downtown Steamboat Springs. She purchased the store from Bill and Joyce Walston, who owned the business for more than four years.
Steamboat Floral and Gifts is a floral design shop featuring fresh flowers and plants; fresh, dried and silk floral arrangements and specialty gifts.
Vogelaar's professional background includes the past five years as director of member services at the Christie Club.
Previously she spent 21 years as the general manager of a private dining club operated by the Kansas City Royals.
