Condolences
The community extends sincere sympathy to the family and friends of John Moose Petranovich, who passed away Oct. 10 in Texas. He was born and raised in Oak Creek.
Get well
We send get-well wishes to John Kuntz, who is a patient at the hospital in Steamboat.

Former resident Jane Sullivan had the misfortune to fall and break both wrists. We wish her a speedy recovery.
Grand Slammers
With her home decorated for Halloween, Jeanie Lombardi was hostess to members of the Grand Slammers. Special guests were former members Jean Carter of Corbett and Jo Walters of Brookings, S.D. Prize winners were Cathy Lewis, Mary Jane Logan, Cathie Voorhees, Connie Sigler, Jane Weston and Karen Craig, who will be the hostess Nov. 21.
Attention rummagers
Plan to stop by the Rummage Shop in Phippsburg and check out all the items on hand for your use from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays.
Flu shots
Flu shots can be had at the Medical Center in Oak Creek, so call 736-8118 for appointments on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Senior lunches
Come have lunch on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with your friends at the senior center in Oak Creek. Call Pat Crawford.
On the road
Mr. and Mrs. Don Ritkouski returned home from an extensive trip that took them to West Point Academy to see their son and daughter-in-law.
The Lombardi family is home following a trip to Las Vegas.
Cindy Porter, Lois Stefano and Angela Bracegirdle shopped in Steamboat this past week.
Nina and Bob Woodcock of Westminster spent Friday and Saturday at the home of Mag Edgar.
The South Routt Seniors shopped in Steamboat Thursday.
Clarice Reid is again at home following several days in Denver.
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Suston and family of Denver spent the weekend here.
Mr. and Mrs. Doug Champbell are home after being away for a week.
Jim Goggin went to Denver Sunday, returning home later the same day.
Tom Reed, his son T.J. and friend from Boulder are here doing some hunting. They visited with Mark Williams on Sunday evening.
Giselle Miller, Molly McClure, Mark Williams and Lila Rider all enjoyed breakfast together Sunday.
Clarice Reid and Verna Whaley were in Steamboat Wednesday.
