Business Briefs: Charter flight service to Dallas returns

— Dallas charter flights renewed

Adventure Tours USA of Dallas has announced it will renew its charter flights from Dallas/Fort Worth into Yampa Valley Regional Airport near Steamboat Springs this winter.

Adventure Tours will operate a Boeing 737 with a capacity of 122 passengers to provide non-stop service to YVRA every Thursday and Sunday beginning Dec. 19 and continuing through March 13. Flights are scheduled to arrive in the Yampa Valley at 10:24 a.m.

This winter will mark the 15th consecutive year the tour company has offered the Steamboat flights. Company vice president Todd Johnson said Adventure Tours has brought 60,000 people to Steamboat over the last 14 years.

The flights may be booked by calling 1-800-999-9046.

Lamansky passes photographer test

Portrait photographer Shauna Steele Lamansky recently met the requirements for certification required by the Professional Photographers of America.

She was required to submit work to the organization and pass a written exam that tested her technical expertise.

PPA is the leading certifying agency and association for imaging professionals.

Steele Lamansky is now eligible to work toward the photographic craftsman and master of photography degrees offered through PPA.

Copper Mountain guarantees snow

Resort officials confident in Mother Nature and their snowmaking systems will guarantee season pass holders good snow conditions or a refund. ''We guarantee you'll be happy with the conditions as of Dec. 13, or we'll give you your money back,'' the resort crows in promotional literature.

The no-questions-asked guarantee applies to the $239 season pass available through Oct. 20. The guarantee on a full-season pass is apparently unprecedented, although other resorts have dabbled in refunds for day passes, depending on conditions.
