Volleyball team continues on streak

— The Steamboat Springs volleyball team continued its 11-game winning streak with back-to-back wins on the road.

The Sailors beat the Delta Panthers 15-5, 15-1 on Wednesday and the Palisade Bulldogs 15-5, 15-2 Thursday.

Steamboat improved to 17-1 overall and 11-0 in league play.

The team's last match of the season will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 19 in the Steamboat gym against Glenwood Springs for the league championship.

"It's the last match of the year and also the toughest," coach Wendy Hall said.

The JV team also beat the Panthers 15-5, 15-1 and the Bulldogs 15-11, 15-1, remaining undefeated for the season with a record of 18-0 overall and 11-0 in the league.
