— Fairolene Marie Chapman died Nov. 23, 2002, at the Doak Walker Care Center in Steamboat Springs.
She was 76.
Fairolene was born Nov. 28, 1925 in Steamboat Springs to Ralph and Mildred Cox.
She was a 1943 graduate
of Steamboat Springs High School.
Fairolene was married on Oct. 5, 1945, to Milton Bruce Chapman.
She lived in Klamath Falls, Ore., Rangely and the Grand Junction area before returning
to Steamboat Springs.
She worked as a nurse's aide at the old Routt Memorial Hospital before retiring in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
She is survived by two sons, Douglas Chapman and his wife, Karen, of Kingwood, Texas, and Dave Chapman and his wife, Kathy, of Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother, Glen Cox of Steamboat Springs; one sister, Verla Brown of Steamboat Springs; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 25 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jon Bixby officiating.

Jessica Marie Laramore of Littleton, formerly of Steamboat Springs, died Nov. 17, 2002. She was 36.
Jessica was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer in 1999.
The cancer re-emerged in August 2002 and she died at her home with her family at her side.
Jessica was born Feb. 5, 1966, in Seattle. She was an honor student and cheerleader at Oak Harbor High School in Oak Harbor, Wash. She also competed in track and field and cross country. She received a degree in early childhood education from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala., in 1991.
She moved to Steamboat Springs in 1993 and was the director of Young at Heart Child Care Center.
In 2000, she moved to Littleton, where she was a teacher at Meritor Academy.
Survivors include her husband, Phil Laramore, and daughter, Alexandra Sky Laramore, both of Littleton; her mother, Lesley Rockney of Washington state; and a sister, Christy Rockney, also of Washington state.
A memorial service was held Nov. 23, 2002, at University Park United Methodist Church in Littleton.
