Barbara MacMillan underwent major surgery at Yampa Valley Medical Center week before last. She had been moved to the Doak Walker Care Center for a short while where she will receive therapy, etc.

The Hayden community was saddened to hear of the death of Bruce Carson week before last. Our condolences to his wife, Kelly (Cobb) Carson, two sons, father-in-law, Kerry Cobb, and his family, who make their home in Wyoming.

The monthly birthday party was held Oct. 19 at the Haven. Those honored this month were: Margie Young and Elsie Richardson. Barbara Whitlock provided the entertainment to the delight of the residents with piano playing and singing.

The Dave Smiths made a short business trip to Grand Junction this past week.

Mike Petrilar and his son from Pennsylvania are here this coming week to enjoy the hunting season.

Alicia Diderrich celebrated her second birthday last weekend with a fun party at her home for family. Special guests were Uncle Johnny and cousin Keith from Colorado Springs, Aunt Theresa, grandmother Sherie and cousin Heather from Boulder.

Board members for the pregnancy center of Craig recently met at the home of Donna Hellyer for lunch and business.

A group of young married couples enjoyed a Halloween costume party at the Legion Hall Oct. 26.

The Darrell Akers family are all so happy to have Cindy's brother now making his home in Hayden. He resides at the West Routt Housing Complex.

Jean Olson, Sylvia Walker, Mary Jo Barnes and Kathy Smith celebrated Jean and Sylvia's birthdays last Tuesday evening with dinner together.
