Burger King plans new Craig building
A spokesman for the Northwest Colorado Burger King franchise confirmed this week that his Denver-based company plans to build a new restaurant on the site of the present Burger King in Craig.
Burger King had been rumored to be investigating the possibility of opening a restaurant in a new convenience store in the Elk River shopping center in Steamboat Springs. However, a spokesman for the convenience store said Burger King backed away from interest.
Bareskin opening second location
Cindy Constantine, who purchased Bareskin Leather from Ron Walter one year ago, has confirmed she is opening a second location in downtown Steamboat Springs.
The original Bareskin is in Gondola Square. Constantine hopes to open her new 1,110 square foot store in Fifth Street marketplace, by Dec. 9. the space was formerly occupied by Ceramica, which has moved to Eleventh Street.
Constantine intends to expand her lines of leather wear and accessories for men.
Estate planning workshop slated
The Routt County Agricultural Extension Office and Sleeping Giant Financial Services are hosting an evening workshop on estate planning. The evening workshop is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Community Center. Reserve a place by calling 879-0825.
Rotary exchange program offered
The Steamboat Springs Rotary Club and Local Rotary District 5440 are seeking four young professionals for a Group Study Exchange trip to Argentina. Applicants must be between 25 and 40 years old, not related to Rotarians, and have been in their chosen vocation for a minimum of two years. The six-week exchange will begin in May.
Rotary International pays for all expenses.While in Argentina team members will reside with host families. For information contact Jim Steinberg at 879-3718.
