Man arrested on drug charges

Steamboat Springs A Steamboat Springs man was arrested Wednesday on drug charges, including cultivation of 100 marijuana plants.
The officers from the Grand, Routt and Moffat Narcotics Enforcement Team, with help from the Steamboat Springs Police Department, arrested Floyd Silvers, 42, at about 8:30 a.m. at Westland trailer park, No. 11.
Silvers allegedly had more than eight ounces of marijuana and 100 plants.
He was arrested for intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of more than eight ounces of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
All charges are classified as felonies.
Silvers was released on $5,000 bond.
According to a GRAMNET report, plants were growing in several rooms in the residence.
Further arrests may evolve from this case, according to the report.
This is the third search warrant within a week GRAMNET has participated in.
GRAMNET officials weren't available on Thursday afternoon to comment on the arrest.
