— Jack Rickman and Janet were here last weekend to attend the graduation of his daughter, Nichol, from the Rangely college, where she received an associate's degree with honors in dental hygiene. Grandmother Carol Rickman made the trip with them. Other family members able to be there were Nichol's mother, Debbie Clark; sisters Steffanie and Brandy and their families; grandmother Phyllis and husband Donnie Williams from St. Francis, Kan.

Sylvia Walker had as houseguests last weekend her mother, sister Sandra and brother Jeff and family, all from Albuquerque, N.M. They all made the trip to share in the wedding of Jimmy and Stephanie Martin.

The Hayden Public Library is gearing up for its summer reading program. Watch for more information on this as it will begin after the close of the 2001-02 school year.

Mr. and Mrs. Wes Signs are at home again after spending several months at their winter home in Arizona during the cold months here in Routt County.

Dave Smith was honored on his birthday last Sunday night with a family get together. Everyone enjoyed refreshments and visiting.

Mr. and Mrs. B.J. Barnes attended the graduation exercises at Rangely last weekend where their niece, Nichol Rickman, received her degree.

Kirk and Cody Blake were here last weekend from their home in Rock Springs, Wyo., for the wedding of Jimmy Walker and Stephanie Martin.

Mr. and Mrs. John Walker, Shantel and Ryan were here from Denver last week to be with their families. They came especially for the wedding of John's brother, Jimmy.

The Charlie Epp family recently returned home from attending the graduation ceremony of son Alex from boot camp.

Debbie Doolin and daughter Miriah were in Rangely last Saturday to attend the college graduation ceremony.

Linda and Hal Bennett attended graduation ceremonies in Rangely last Saturday.

Russ Steele of Vernal, Utah, and Sharon Steele of Hayden are pleased to announce the engagement of son John Kuntz (Steele) to Lindsay Wildman. Lindsay is the daughter of the late Steven Wildman and Andrea Wildman of Estes Park. Lindsay is employed by the Larimar County Assesor. John is employed by Tiger Steel of Fort Collins. They plan to marry Aug. 24, 2002, in Fort Collins. The couple and Lindsay's daughter will reside in the Weld County area.

George Koler is now a resident at the Haven. Mr. Koler has made his home in the area from many years. Mr. Koler came here from Doak Walker, where he was cared for in his convalescence.

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Copeland hosted a family celebration dinner last Tuesday evening for their grandson Tanner's 18th birthday. Special guest for the occasion was Becky Bennett.

Jimmy Walker and Stephanie Martin were united in marriage May 11, 2002, at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Steamboat Springs. A lovely reception followed at Trappeurs Crossing.

Olive Dean Blake and her friend Phyllis recently returned from a trip to California, where Olive was a houseguest of her late husband Don's sister Dorothy and her husband, Gene.
