(Sheri Lu to some, LuLu to others)

Age (optional): 52 delightful revolutions around the sun

Occupation: Director of Development and Marketing, Strings in the Mountains Festival of Music (and it only took 25-something years to get down to just one job)

Place of birth: Merced, California-Girl

Q. When did you move to Routt County and what brought you here?

A. 1972 My ex and I were on our way to Park City, Utah, to be ski bums for a winter, but as we drove down Rabbit Ears Pass at dusk and saw the Yampa Valley, well, the rest is history.

Q. What are the best and least favorite things about living in Routt County?

A. Best: My extraordinary, nonjudgmental friends.

Least: Springtime potholes. However, I do sell huge batches of my famous Kugel to the city for repairs which is a big money-maker for me so I guess in reality there isn't anything I don't like about Routt County!

Q. If you could invite any four people to dinner, who would they be and why?

A. YoYo Ma, Natalie MacMaster, Itzhak Perlman and Willie of Willie and Lobo. Why? Well, wouldn't they be a fascinating group of people to fiddle around with?

Q. Who is the most famous person you have ever met and how did you meet him/her?

A. Cybil Shepard. I was in a T-shirt shop downtown Steamboat one day, and the owner said to me, "Guess who was just here? Cybil Shepard!" And I said "Oh really? Wow! I bet she was fat and ugly and doesn't look like anything she does on the big screen. Where did she go?" Then I felt a tap on my shoulder and heard, "Actually, I'm right here behind you."

Q. If you had three wishes, what would they be?

A. 3 more wishes and then 3 more wishes and then 3 more wishes. And if I tell you what any of them are they won't come true.

Q. If you could travel to any place where would you go and why?

Around the world and back again just to experience it ALL!

Q. What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The people I meet, the music I hear and being a part of an organization that provides so much entertainment and educational opportunities for everyone in our community and Northwest Colorado.
