Bridge winners
Winners at bridge at the home of Verna Whaley were: Amy Zimpher, Lila Rider and June Carr. The next meeting is June 25.
Pinochle winners
High score at pinochle were Blaine and Verna Whaley; low was Russell Railsback and Angela Bracegirdle and goose was won by Blaine Whaley. July hosts are Ella Murphy at 879-0329 and Rosemary and Patty Farrell at 736-8213.
Recuperating
Bob Brown underwent eye surgery this past week in Steamboat and is doing well.
John Kuntz underwent treatment at the hospital this past week.
June Carr underwent surgery on Friday at the hospital and was kept overnight. Get well wishes to all.
Reunion
If you are a member of the class of '82 at Soroco or know of someone who is, please call Kathi Trout at (307) 686-2932. The reunion is set for the July 4 weekend.
Congratulations
Mr. and Mrs. Justin (Shelia Logan) are the parents of a second son born June 6 in Greeley. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Logan are the grandparents and the Cecil Westons are the great-grandparents.
The Lynn Whaleys went to Colorado Springs to get to know their new grandson born to Jerry Whaley and wife. This is Jerry's third child. He has twins.
In town
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rossi and family were here for the Bill Maijala services.
Gone fishin'
There was a recent fishing contest at the Steve Rossi home last week, sorry to report only one fish caught.
Passing through
Truman Yowell was in the area moving cattle last week.
Just visiting
Tom Reed of Boulder spent some time at the Mark Williams home Thursday and Friday.
Tina Zywicki and family returned from a vacation to Oregon and California.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Zimpher went to Denver over the weekend to celebrate Father's Day with family.
Mike Austin of Denver came in to take his son home after a visit here with grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Jim Goggin.
The Ernie Lombardis left for their new home on Saturday.
The Frank Stefano family of Wheatridge and friends spent the weekend here fishing and visiting.
