Sympathy

Billie Ann Iacovetto, 75, of Las Vegas, Nev., died May 17, 2002, in Denver. She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel Iacovetto Jr. Billie Ann was born in Oak Creek to Bill and Anna Bowen, who lived in Haybro, where Bill was a mine foreman. Billie attended school in Haybro and Oak Creek. Survivors are her daughter, Sharon Marchiol, and son, Robert Iacovetto; grandchildren Kenneth (Suzanne), Julie and Tanya Marchiol, Brooke and Chelsea Iacovetto; great-grandchildren Santino and Angelo Marchiol, and loving sister Helen Freeman of Seattle, Wash. Services were held at the Yampa Cemetery May 31, 2002.

Bridge winners

Winners at bridge at the home of Cindy Porter were Verna Whaley, June Carr, Amy Zimpher and Cindy Porter. The next meeting will be at the home of Verna Whaley on June 11.

Out and about

Alice and Bud Kauffman were recent visitors to Denver to attend the United Airlines Retirement Convention. They also attended the showing of "The Lion King" while there.

The Frank Stefano family of Wheat Ridge spent the weekend here with his mom, Lois Stefano.

Mark Williams and Lila Rider were in Steamboat Saturday. While there they enjoyed lunch with Betty Reed to celebrate Mark's birthday.

Marcell Saindon of Denver and family were here over the weekend. Marcell stayed with his sister, Mag Edgar.

Sue Hart and Zoe went to Craig on Friday.

Mark Williams and Lila Rider enjoyed breakfast Thursday in Yampa with Molly McClure and Ralph Nichol, on Sunday they enjoyed supper with the Jim Goggins of Yampa for Mark's birthday.

Amy and Rick Zimpher have been away on business.

Dick Carr and Rick Sheldon have been to the doctor in Grand Junction.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Woodcock went to Fort Collins for a few days with family.

The Dick Palmers are home for the summer from Fruita.

Shelia Fisher has been here visiting her dad, Elmer Mai.

Betty Buffington of Rifle has been her with her mom, Ruby Chevieler and sister, Ruby Lou Peters.
