Tugboat holding cancer benefit Sunday

— The Tugboat Grill and Pub is celebrating and supporting one of its own Sunday night and hopes the public comes out to help as well.

Kelly Hartranft, 46, who is best know as Uncle Kelly at the Tugboat and for being the guru of the soundboard for bands playing there, was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Since the diagnosis, he hasn't been able to work, and his friends and co-workers at the Tugboat want to help him out.

Local band Downhill Drive will play a free show at the Tugboat, and there will be door prizes and lots of drink specials that night.

Proceeds from the event will go to Kelly and his children.

Tugboat owner Larry Lamb said he hopes a lot of people come out for the festivities, hang out with Kelly and support a friend in the community.

Events start at 8 p.m. at the Tugboat, 1860 Ski Time Square.
