TOWN TALK: HAYDEN

Pete and Connie Barnes made a trip to Hayden week before last to attend the surprise 50th wedding anniversary celebration for Marilyn and Forrest Frentress.

Mr. and Mrs. Dave Smith and Desiray Barnes spent the holiday weekend in Delta.

Rhonda Jiminez and two sons from California have been here the past week visiting her sister, Pat, and family in Steamboat Springs, parents Bonnie and Roland Smith, friends and siblings in the area.

Jarah Woodley celebrated her birthday week before last with a family dinner at her home.

Erik Olsen was here over the Fourth of July with his parents, Roger and Jean. He and his two boys, Kenny and Carl, have returned home. The boys had been spending some time here with their grandparents before the holiday. Lori was unable to make this trip due to being under the weather.

Charla Walker and children spent several days here with the Hockett and Walker families this past week.

Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Frentress recently enjoyed a visit from their daughter, Tally. She came especially for their 50th wedding anniversary celebration.

The grandchildren of the late John Reagan and Elinor moved her on Tuesday of last week from Grand Junction to Hayden ,where she will now make her home at The Haven assisted-living facility.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Boyd spent the holiday weekend in Denver with family.

Mr. and Mrs. Casey Rolando and girls hosted a barbecue at their home July 4 for friends and family. Everyone later enjoyed watching the fireworks from their yard.

Pete Heuer was honored on his birthday last Tuesday evening with a celebration. His parents and his wife, Jackie's family, were all on hand to share the special day with him.

Louise Haslem is home and doing great following surgery in Denver. Get well soon, Louise!

The family of little Cutter Barnes helped him celebrate his birthday a week Sunday at home in Maybell.

Many Haydenites were in Grand Junction to enjoy the Country Jam concerts a week ago. Word is that the performances were exceptional!

Folks here in Hayden are sending out messages like "Wow! The festival held in the town park last week was extraordinary." To all who put forth so much work and effort to make this such a success, congratulations and thank you.
