SLIDE PRESENTATION ON LOCAL LANDSCAPE CHANGES JAN. 31

QUILTERS TO DISCUSS VARIOUS PATTERNS AT MEETING

Kim Mosher and Judy Zehner will be the guest speakers and will introduce their patterns, discuss old patterns and lecture on downsizing patterns. Guest fee is $2.

TICKETS TO BE ISSUED AT BUFFALO PASS FOR ILLEGALLY PARKED CARS

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSWinter recreationists are asked not to park on the side of the Buffalo Pass road when the Dry Lake parking lot is full. This narrows the road to one lane, preventing access for emergency vehicles and snowplows.

People also block each others' vehicles in, said Dan Nielen, law enforcement officer for the Routt National Forest.

Warnings have been issued to people parking along the road but is hasn't stopped the problem. Tickets will be issued to people parking illegally, Nielsen said.
