'PANCAKE FEED' RAISES ABOUT $200
Volunteers of the Yampa Fire Department held their annual "pancake feed" on New Year's Eve. Yampa residents filled the Ladies Aid Hall for an all-you-can-eat meal of pancakes.
The tradition began in the 1970s as a way to raise funds for the department but is now more of a social event, said volunteer Tom Yackey.
Firefighter Dan Allen said the event raised about $200.
