'JESTER' EXHIBIT ONGOING AT SMALL WORKS GALLERYThe Small Works Gallery in the Depot Art Center on 13th Street presents "Symbols of the Jester" art exhibit. Artwork was presented from all over Colorado and is for sale. Artists were told to interpret and respond to the title of the exhibit in their own way. The Lowell Whiteman Primary School presented a collaborative work. The Depot hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS OFFERED EVERY MONTHTread of Pioneers Museum, Historic Routt County! and the Yampa Valley Community Foundation sponsor free historic educational programs every month through the winter. From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Tread of Pioneers Museum Kat Vlahos of the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Colorado presents "A Visual Tour of Routt County's Historic Ranches." YAMPATIKA PRESENTS ITS WINTER SCHEDULEYampatika and Partners in Interpretation present a Wee Naturalist schedule for the winter. A "Horsing Around" seminar is from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Yampatika on 10th Street and Lincoln Avenue to learn how to care for horses as well as ride them. Call 871-9151 for more information.

Karen's Winter Explorations from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every other Saturday beginning Dec. 8 with a cross-country and/or snowshoe tour in the Yampa Valley. Reservations are required and a fee charged. Call for reservations and more information.
Guided nature ski tours are from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Meet at the top of Why Not ski run.
Monday through Saturday
Family winter activity backpacks at Yampatika. Go to store to check out what's available.
Tuesdays
Emerald Mountain Snowshoe Tour (moderate) from 9 a.m. to noon. Meet at Yampatika.
Guided nature ski tours from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Wednesdays
Rabbit Ears Backcountry Tour from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pre-registration and reservations required.
Thursdays
Uranium Mine Road Snowshoe Tour from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at Yampatika.
Guided Nature Ski Tours from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
