Popcorn machine stolen from Subaru tent

Steamboat Springs — Local officers hope to find the person or persons who stole a $700 popcorn machine from the Steamboat Ski Area this weekend.
Employees of Subaru who were working at a promotions tent at the base of the ski area reported to the Steamboat Springs Police Department Sunday morning that someone had stolen the popcorn machine, presumably the night before, Officer Pua Utu said.
"They borrowed the popcorn machine from a local vendor and left it outside the tent (Saturday night)," he said.
Utu said the police department has a few leads on how to find the person who took the popcorn machine but admitted the amount of popcorn the machine makes at one time doesn't seem feasible for the use of a private individual.
"But I'm sure we'll find it somewhere," Utu said.
