1. When did you move to Routt County and what brought you here?

My parents brought me here in 1969.

2. What are the best and least favorite things about living in Routt County?

The small town atmosphere and the small town atmosphere.

3. If you could invite any four people to dinner, who would they be and why?

Pope Joan, the supposed female Pope. I mean c'mon, if you could talk with this sort of historical figure, wouldn't you?

Robin Williams would be able to keep up in this rarified air and add humor to liven the party.

Dorothy Parker every dinner party needs a catty, manic-depressive with literary tendencies.

Frank Zappa would round out the foursome nicely with his irreverence and mercurial nature.

4. Who is the most famous person you have ever met and how did you meet him/her?

I met and talked with Sir Ian McKellan at the regional premier in Denver of his movie "Richard III." We talked theater and movies over martinis until Roddy McDowell elbowed his way in.

5. If you had three wishes, what would they be?

That there were always more than enough hours in the day, more than enough money in my account and more than enough good will to go around everywhere.

6. If you could travel to any place where would you go and why?

I've not yet been to Australia. From what I've heard, they've got a lot of fun adventures ranging from cosmopolitan, city types to the wilderness, outback experiences. I like eclectic.

7. What is the most rewarding part of your job?

To have a successful "surfer" is most rewarding and to open up the realm of possibilities for people communicating and learning via the Internet. When a Grandma calls up because she's so happy to have easily e-mailed her grandkids is just the best!

Food: Middle Eastern food makes my mouth water. I don't get it very often; perhaps that's why it's so tantalizing.

Sport to watch: I find myself watching grand-slam tennis on television. Every four years it's the Olympics, though.

Vacation spot: If you own your own business, do you get vacations? Barcelona, Spain, was the place that last captured my heart.

Recreational activity: Any I can get.

Pet: C'mon, I've got two pets Cleo and Tux, they're both my favorite.

Movie: You can't pick just one...

Magazine: "Harper's" is still my favorite, you can't beat the "Harper's Index."

TV show: I'm waiting for the new season of "Six Feet Under" on HBO.
