With sympathy

The community extends sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Virgil (Swede) Johnson, who passed away recently in the Grand Junction area. He was a longtime resident of the area.

Our sincere sympathy to Charlie and Clair Taylor in the loss of Clair's mother in Golden. Clair is in Golden at this time.

Get well soon

We send get well wishes to Bill Paxton, who spent some time at the hospital last week.

To Punch Hughes, who is in the hospital in Steamboat after suffering from a fall. You both get better soon.

Get well to Kate Louthan, who underwent recent surgery. Get better soon.

Happy Birthday

We extend birthday greetings to Jake Swan, who celebrated his 80th birthday on Dec. 17 at the Colorado in Oak Creek. Hope you have many more, Jake.

Santa comes to town

Santa made a visit to St. Martins Catholic Church on Dec. 15 with goodies for the little ones.

Pay your dues

As the New Year starts, you can pay your Community Club dues at the post office in Phippsburg.

The Oak Creek/Phippsburg Historical Society is also collecting dues. Call Joann Lombardi or Carol Villa for more information. If you have old photos to share, please put dates and names on them for the ladies to work with.

Out and about

Mr and Mrs. Ebaugh went to Denver Tuesday to consult with the doctor.

Visiting at the Virginia Rossi home over the weekend were her son David and family and daughter Judy, all of Denver.

Winners at Bridge at the home of Verna Whaley were Coralie Ritkouski, June Carr, Clarice Reid and Cindy Porter. This was the club's Christmas party and gifts were exchanged.

Susie Gisler spent time with her mom this past week.

Mrs. Mike Auston and family of Denver spent this weekend here at the Goggin home in Yampa.

Mr and Mrs. John Photos returned home from Denver and brought their new daughter with them. The little baby has an older brother. Blessings on the happy family.
