Kevon and Ann Copeland hosted the family Thanksgiving dinner at their ranch home on Williams Fork Road. It was a very special day as the entire family was able to be there. Cheryl and Kyle from Denver, Chuck from California, Mark and his family from Pennsylvania, Susan and Aaron from Estes Park. Pat Holderness was overjoyed by all her family being there.

Shirley Gossert honored her husband, John, last Sunday with a surprise 70th birthday party at the Legion Hall. His family and many friends were on hand to help him celebrate the great decorations, friendship and great food.

Attention busy moms: The Girl Scout cadets will offer baby-sitting at the elementary school on Dec. 21. The Cadets will have games, crafts and decorating available to keep the youngsters busy. The price is $3 for first child, $2 for second child. If interested, please call Lorie at 276-4152 for a reservation for your children.

On Friday evening, Dec. 6, the Routt County employees and their spouses enjoyed a wonderful Christmas party at the Sheraton in Steamboat Springs.

On last Thursday evening a holiday concert was held at the high school auditorium. Performing were the High School Junior High, fifth and sixth grade bands. The all girl choir sang. It was a lovely concert enjoyed by a full house. Congratulations to our band director for a job well done.

Charlie Epp hosted a surprise party for his wife Christine's 50th birthday last Saturday at the Legion Hall. Many well-wishers attended to share this occasion, goodies and time together.

The Band Boosters met on Dec. 12 in the band room at the high school.

On Dec. 19, Santa will arrive at the Hayden Public Library to visit tots at Story Hour. The library staff hopes to see many youngsters on this special day.

The Forsyths recently returned home from a trip to Texas, where they met daughter April and family for a very special occasion.

Last Sunday, the Girl Scout cadets held a silver project award for Danielle Laird. They had lunch at Cugino's in Steamboat Springs. The group also exchanged gifts for secret Santa and held a discussion on plans for the next few busy weeks.

On Dec. 14, the Girl Scouts went on their annual caroling out and about town trip on Chuck Fulton's sled pulled by his team of horses. All Haydenites look forward to this special day. Thank you girls and your leaders.
