Joel Wixson recently enjoyed a trip to Germany, where he visited a friend. He will be attending Colorado State University this year.

Tanner Copeland will be a freshman at Alamosa this year beginning his college studies.

John Lozinsky recently spent several days in Colorado Springs caring for baby Kenney while he was sick.

The Kraig Copelands were on the Front Range last weekend to move Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Svoboda and Lily from Lafayette to Castle Rock.

Elinor Williams was here from Meeker last Tuesday to visit her sister Carol Rhodes and other relatives.

Barry and Vicky Seitz are now settled into their new home on Crandall Avenue purchased from Todd and Kara Sargent.

Vonnie Frentress made a trip to Wyoming Aug. 16 to attend the funeral of her grandmother. She came home on Saturday to attend the fair and rodeo and be here for her son Christopher's 16th birthday.

The Charlie Epp family traveled to Durango week before last to help their daughter Leisha get settled into her second year of college studies.

The Forrest Frentress family recently enjoyed a visit from their daughter Talley, who makes her home in Kansas.

Mr. and Mrs. Neil Forsyth recently enjoyed a visit form their daughter and her husband who make their home in Lubbock, Texas. While here, they all spent some time on a camping trip at Red Park.

Christine Epp took her son Alex to Denver the end of last week to return his post following a visit here with family and friends. He especially enjoyed the fair and rodeo. He was able to spend some time with his grandmother and aunt. After a brief stay with them, his good friend Trent Babish took him to Denver International Airport, where he boarded for his trip to Fort Benning, where he will now be stationed. He will train in the third battalion of the 75th Ranger Regiment Bravo Co. Alex was one of the top five that finished in school in Fort Sill, Okla. He is now listed as Private First Class in the First Airborne Ranger Indoctrination School. Congratulations to you, Alex, on your achievements and also to your parents. This community and your family are all mighty proud of you!

Brandi and Debbie Frentress hosted a Partylite get-together at Brandi's home Aug. 18.
