IN THE SERVICE: Casey L. Estes


Air Force Airman Casey L. Estes has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs; performed drill and ceremony marches, basic rifle marksmanship, obstacle course and field training exercises; and received physical training and special training in human relations.

In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate's degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

After graduating from basic training, Airman Estes completed the fire protection apprentice course at the Louis F. Garland Fire Academy, Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, Texas.

Currently, Airman Estes is assigned as a firefighter at an air base in Japan.

He is the son of Tammy and Rodney Estes of Yampa.

Estes is a graduate of Soroco High School in Oak Creek.
