Gregory R. Forbes

Gregory R. "Greg" Forbes, 30, of Hayden, died April 20, 2002, at his home.
He was born June 28, 1971, in Laramie, Wyo., the son of Robert "Bob" Forbes and Cheri (Uphoff) Forbes Burnell. Greg owned his business, Forbes Horseshoeing, out of Hayden. He attended farrier school in Bozeman, Mont. He was involved with the Jackson County Rodeo Club and 4-H, the Yampa Valley Cutter & Chariot Racing Association and was a master woodworker. Greg worked for different ranchers during the summers in the Walden area when he was younger.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Cheri and Jerry Burnell of Berthoud; his father and stepmother, Bob and Claudia Forbes of Denver; his brother, Michael Forbes of Loveland; his sister, Kristy Forbes of Hutchinson, Kan.; his children, Kody, Krysta and Karyn; paternal grandmother Helen Forbes of Englewood; maternal grandmother Betty Seifried of Sterling; a nephew, Nathan; and a niece, Ashley.
Memorial services were held at the North Park Community Church in Walden. The Rev. Eloise Saltzgaver officiated. Peterson Funeral Home of Steamboat assisted the family with the arrangements.
