Craig men face drug charges

Steamboat Springs Two Craig men face felony drug charges after authorities allegedly seized two pounds of marijuana and $1,500 in cash during a traffic stop late Monday night.
David John Shipley, 40, and Dorian Seeley, 32, each could be charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a class four felony. The two men also could be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
The two men were arrested at about 11 p.m. after the truck Shipley was driving was stopped on Rabbit Ears Pass at about milepost 143 by a Routt County Sheriff's deputy.
According to court records, the westbound truck was stopped for speeding on the west side of the pass.
After he was issued a citation, Shipley gave the deputy permission to search the truck, records show.
The deputy allegedly found two large plastic bags containing marijuana behind the truck's seat, records show. Both plastic bags weighed a pound each, records show.
Both men were booked into the Routt County Jail early Tuesday morning. During this process, deputies found $1,500 in one of Shipley's pant pockets, records show.
Both men have posted a $5,000 bail and have been released. The two men will appear in Routt County Court later this month.
