The New Orleans authentic blues band Mem Shannon and The Membership performs at the Tugboat. Ex-cab driver and renowned singer, songwriter and guitarist Shannon paired with the Memphis Horns Wayne Jackson and Andrew Love on his May release "Memphis in the Morning." Shannon has played in music festivals and on radio and television all over the country, playing jams from his tunes "Spend Some Time with Me," "2nd Blues Album" and "A Cab Driver's Blues." The New American roots of the Tony Furtado Band performs at Levelz. Furtado brings blues, jazz, Appalachian folk, Celtic and rock to the stage with his own melody and improvisation. Furtado creates a cross-genre style that Beck, Ben Harper and Moby also have implemented into their styles. As a renowned banjo and slide-guitar player, Furtado has released six albums, five on Rounder Records, and his latest "Tony Furtado Band" on Cojema Music.
