KUUSINEN NAMED TO TRAMWAY BOARD
DENVERColorado Governor Bill Owens recently named Bob Kuusinen, senior vice president-ski area operations for the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation, to the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board.
Kuusinen's term on the tramway board will run through June 2005.
Kuusinen, who has almost 30 years' experience within the industry, follows Doug Allen, Steamboat's director of mountain operations, as a member of the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board. Allen sat on the tramway board from 1990-1998, was chairman from 1995-1998 and now sits on the technical committee.
The Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board was established in 1965 to inspect and register ski lift devices. The board establishes design, operation and maintenance standards.

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSThe Yampa Valley Business and Professional Women's Club will celebrate the 73rd commemoration of the National Business Women's Week to honor the achievements of working women throughout history.
The Steamboat Springs club will have an Asian buffet with discussion focused on women in the workplace from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Steamboat Grand. Cost is $18.
