Loyce E. Huffstetler

1927-2001

Loyce E. Huffstetler, 74, passed away Oct. 23, 2001, in Sacramento, Calif.

She was born Feb. 13, 1927, in Yampa to Wiley and Olive (Montgomery) Tomlinson. She was raised in Yampa and graduated from high school there.

Oct. 4, 1946, she married Harold N. Huffstetler in Nevada. He died Oct. 18, 1974.

Loyce worked at McClelland Air Force Base in Sacramento for many years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the Rio Linda American Legion Auxiliary. Among her many qualities she will be remembered for her sense of humor and her love for animals, especially her dogs.

She is survived by a daughter, Diana Nicolaou of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; three sisters, Regina Kelsay of Greeley, Reba Wilson of Yampa and Norene Walker of Newburgh, Ind.; nine nieces and three nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara Eicher.

A memorial service will be held in Yampa.
