Colorado Group Realty announces that Broker Associate Kelli Pal recently received the GRI designation (Graduate, REALTOR Institute) from the Colorado Association of Realtors. Commission to hear residents' tax views
Colorado residents will have an opportunity to share their views on taxes during upcoming regional meetings being held throughout the state over the next several months. The Colorado Commission on Taxation will hold its next in a series of community meetings from 6 to 8 p.m. May 17 at the City Council Chambers in Craig, 300 W. Fourth Street.
The Colorado Commission on Taxation, a group of 15 Colorado residents appointed by Gov. Bill Owens and legislative leadership, was given the charge to conduct a thorough examination of Colorado's state and local tax structure. The group has been meeting since August 2000 to learn more about the taxes and fees used to finance state and local services. The commission is now hosting meetings to get input from residents.
Latest economic data is released
The Vectra Bank Colorado Small Business Index for Colorado declined to 93.3 during April 2001, as compared to a revised 94.9 for March 2001. The index measures business conditions from the viewpoint of the Colorado small-business owner or manager.
A lower index is associated with less favorable business "conditions" for Colorado's small businesses. The Index uses 100.0 for calendar year 1997 as its base year. The Index also includes revisions to various historical or forecast components, including new Census data regarding higher Colorado net in-migration during the past decade.
