Yvonne Louise Patro

1936-2001

Yvonne Louise Patro died April 26, 2001. She was 64.

She was born December 24, 1936, in Oak Creek to Joseph D. and Margaret A. (Hubbard) Tucker.

She was raised and attended school in Oak Creek, graduating from high school there.

Louise worked at various jobs during the course of her life, including being a waitress, cooking at the Golden Spike restaurant in Phippsburg for many years, working for the Routt County Weed Control Program for 20-plus years and most recently she was postmistress in Phippsburg.

She also spent time doing house cleaning for various people.

She enjoyed gardening, dancing, music, crocheting, crafts and the outdoors. Louise was a member of the VFW Auxilliary in Oak Creek.

She is survived by two daughters, Trudy Lusk of Oak Creek, and Debora A. Patro of Commerce City; two sons, Gary W. Patro of Oak Creek and Kelly J. Patro of Oak Creek; 17 grandchildren, including Amanda Lynn Goss, whom she raised, and numerous other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepfathers, Homer Wallace and Howard Raines, and a daughter, Sherrie.

A memorial service is at 1 p.m. May 12, 2001, at the Ladies Auxilliary building in Yampa.

Memorial donations in Yvonne's name can be made in care of Grant Mortuary to Doak Walker Care Center, Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association or Hospice.
