TOWN HOPES FOR WATER GRANT
OAK CREEKOak Creek officials are crossing their fingers in hopes to get a $100,000 state grant to pay for upgrades to the town's water system.
Last week, town officials received first priority for full funding to receive the Mineral Impact grant, and will hear sometime this week if and when they'll get the money, Oak Creek Town Manager Ray Leibensperger said.
"We're actually making plans on what we'll do with the money," he said.
If the town gets the $100,000, it will go towards building a water booster station north of town.
PUBLIC COMMENT SOUGHT FOR PLAN
SOUTH ROUTTThe Routt County Planning Department is making plans to present a proposed revised version of the Routt County Master Plan to south Routt residents in May.
The plan should reflect the public's vision of land use in Routt County, according to planning officials. Little public comment has been received on the plan so far.
County officials say they will announce the date of the south Routt meeting in the coming weeks.
