Steamboat Springs A 24-year-old man who allegedly participated in the theft of a truck in December plans to plead not guilty to a felony charge.
On Wednesday, Geoffrey A. Sage was bound over to District Court.
"We have talked to the relevant witnesses in this case, and we will enter a plea of not guilty," said Larry Combs, Sage's attorney.
Sage will formally enter a plea to aggravated motor vehicle theft, a class-four felony, on June 22.
"I want to get this taken care of," Sage said in court. "This is pretty ridiculous."
Sage was arrested outside his Stagecoach apartment days after he allegedly participated in the theft of a red 1989 Ford truck stolen from Jim Stetson's ranch on County Road 14.
Troy O'Neil, 32, also from Stagecoach, was also arrested in connection with the alleged theft of the truck. Along with the motor vehicle theft charge, O'Neil faces a felony charge of criminal mischief, as a result of $2,600 in damage caused to the truck.
According to a court file, the truck was taken just after midnight on Dec. 9.
