Zeno Wall, Jr., formerly of Gatlinburg, Tenn., died March 3, 2001 in Steamboat Springs at the Doak Walker Care Center. He was 88. A native of Mount Olive, Miss.; he was the son of Dr. Zeno and Ada Ramsey Wall. He graduated from Shelby N.C. High School and attended Gardner Webb University and Wake Forest University.

Zeno was employed by American Enka Corp., was subsequently director of the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce and later worked fro the Brookside Resort. He served as a deacon in the First Baptist Church, city commissioner and mayor of Gatlinburg.

He is survived by two daughter, Zee Bacon of Steamboat Springs and Wynne Budniak of Louisville, Ky., a son, Zeno Wall, III of Crested Butte; four grandsons, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Ada Fanning of Davidson, N.C., and a brother, Rev. Woodrow Wall of Shelby, N.C. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth L. Wall, a brother, Yates Wall, and a sister, Abbie Harris.

The body was bequeathed to the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Peterson Funeral Home in Steamboat Springs was in charge of arrangements.Memorials in his name may be sent to Doak Walker Care Center, 1100 Central Park Dr., Steamboat Springs, CO 80487.
