Charter school contract on hold

The North Routt Charter School board received the contract it will use to establish itself Wednesday.

The contract has already been approved by the Steamboat School Board. The charter board will not be signing the contract for at least another week, however, said Shaunna Watterson, a member of the charter board. A number of the board members are out of town. The proposed contract shows that the per-pupil funding flowing from the district to the charter school will begin coming to the school in August, rather than next March or April as the school board had initially indicated.
