Jacqueline C. Morgan of Hayden died June 8, 2001. She was 80.
Jacqueline was born Oct. 11, 1920, in Sterling to Carl C. and Eva Mae (McPherron) Clark. She was raised and attended school in Sterling. Jackie then attended Colorado Teachers College in Greeley. She married Charles Donald Morgan Dec. 23, 1941, in Sidney, Neb.
Jackie and Don lived in Mancos prior to coming to Hayden in 1960. She was a schoolteacher and had taught in Dailey, Logan and Porter, N.M., Mancos and Hayden. She taught speech and English in Hayden for many years. For several years, she played piano, violin and directed the choir at the Hayden Congregational Church. Jackie was involved in the music programs at the school during her tenure there. She chaired the Hayden Library board for several years and was member of the Hayden Congregational Church and the Women's Fellowship of the church.
She is survived by her husband, Don Morgan of Hayden; a daughter, Donna Anderson of Bullhead City, Ariz.; a son, Chuck Morgan and his wife Marsha of Fort Morgan; three grandchildren, Nicole, Kim and Ryan and his wife Michelle; and a brother, Douglas Clark of Boulder.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Palmer and Paul.
A celebration of life for Jacqueline is at 2 p.m. June 23 at the Hayden Congregational Church. Memorials in Jacqueline's name can be made in care of Grant Mortuary to the Hayden Library, Northwest Colorado VNA or the Hayden Congregational Church.
