The Steamboat Springs Rotary Club is proud to honor Jessica Fritz as their Student of the Month for May/June 2001.

Fritz has pursued the most rigorous cirriculum offered in the high school and still maintains a 4.3 GPA. She is a member of the National Honor Society, is an All-American Scholar, and has been recognized as "Who's Who Among American High School Students."

Fritz is president of her senior class and captain of both the volleyball and soccer teams. Her leadership and talent have significantly contributed to the success of these teams in regional and state competitions. Recently she received the Hero of the Week Award from the Colorado High School Athletic Association.

Fritz has been awarded the High School Athlete of the Year. The award is selected among those four-year lettering athletes who have also maintained the highest academic standards.

One of the most impressive qualities of Fritz is her commitment to the community. She has contributed countless volunteer hours to the Visiting Nurses Association and to her Church.

Fritz will attend the University of Puget Sound in Oregon on a presidential scholarship this fall and plans to pursue an international business degree.
