WATER BOOSTER TO BE UP AND RUNNING

If all goes as planned, a new Oak Creek water booster station could be operational by next weekend.

Oak Creek Town Manager Ray Leibensperger told the Oak Creek Board of Trustees this week that inspectors will spend the night in Oak Creek on Thursday and then start the booster station up on Friday.

"By the time they leave Friday afternoon, it should be up and running," he said.

The estimated $185,000 project will improve water pressure on the north side of Oak Creek.

In other news at the meeting, the board:

Accepted the resignation of Carol Montoya as trustee.

Approved Police Chief Tom Ling's contract until June 1 of next year.

Extended the South Routt Library District's deed on the property the town donated it for a new library, off Sharp Street.

Agreed to pay Precision Excavating for its work on the new booster station.

Made a motion to pass a land use change of minor impact for the new First National Bank of the Rockies building that is going up near Total.
