The Planning Commission decided Thursday night to recommend a proposal to City Council that would turn the entrance into Ski Time Square into a looped drive with room for buses to turn around.
With David Baldinger Jr. stepping down because of a potential conflict of interest, three planning commissioners considered four proposals Thursday that could make the flow of traffic more smooth on Ski Time Square Drive.
The proposal they chose offers space for a bus and shuttle pick-up area.
The four plans, which were presented by Public Works Director Jim Weber, each have a turnaround right before the Tugboat restaurant.
In a recent public meeting, business owners said they preferred the two plans that had a roundabout that could be used by public buses and private citizens. The public also appeared to like the plan in which buses and ski shuttles had their own lane off the roundabout.
