Cabaret Diosa performs a "Latin high-fi exotica" with tangoes, mambas and swing dances at The Cellar Lounge Friday. The band's 1920s-style creates a dress-to-kill party. Cover is $5 with proper attire (no jeans or sneakers) or $8 without. Doors open at 8 p.m. for those 21 and older. The Cellar Lounge is at 703 Lincoln Ave.

Every Friday, Paul Geppert will perform his folk, blues and newgrass mix at the Creekside Cafe. While patrons enjoy dinner, Geppert will play from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with no cover. Creekside Cafe is at 131 11th St.

Judge Roughneck of Denver will perform from 10 to 1:30 Friday and Saturday night at The Tugboat. The six-member ensemble plays a mix of funk, ska and reggae and played last summer at Slopeside's Summer Concert Series. The Tugboat is at 1860 Ski Time Square; 21 and older only.

With a Steeley Dan influence, but only a couple covers, One Flight Up will perform Saturday night at The Cellar Lounge. The group members write their own songs and the lead guitarist is considered the best out of the Denver/Boulder area. No cover before 10 p.m., $4 after, 21 and older only. The Cellar Lounge is at 703 Lincoln Ave.

John Harris and Dan Barrat will perform their latest banjo and folk hits Saturday at Creekside Cafe. While patrons enjoy dinner, Geppert will play from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with no cover. Creekside Cafe is located at 131 11th St.

Candystore Productions in Winter Park presents a six-piece instrumental funk, acid jazz, trance band United Dope Front. Hailing from Boulder, UDF also was at Brewfest in September 2000 playing hits from their latest album "Constant Elevation." UDF is playing from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Monday and Tuesday; 21 and older only. The Tugboat is at 1860 Ski Time Square.

The Cellar Lounge presents The Pharcyde Tuesday night with special guests Ugly Duckling. The Pharcyde has recently released their first album in almost five years "Plain Rap," which is just that. Tickets are $20 in advance at The Cellar Lounge and All That Jazz, $23 at the door. Doors open at 9 p.m.; 21 and older only. The Cellar Lounge is located at 703 Lincoln Ave.

Shakin' Tree, a Celtic Dave Matthews sound, comes to The Tugboat tonight. This four-piece band, includes a fiddle to create that Celtic feel, also is presented by Candystore Productions of Winter Park. Out of Kansas City, Mo., Shakin' Tree's latest album was "Matter of Choice." They will play from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., 21 and older only. The Tugboat is located at 1860 Ski Time Square.
