Steamboat Springs This year's Ag Production Workshop is scheduled for Feb. 8 at Friendship Hall in Montrose and Feb. 9 at the Mesa County Fairgrounds in Grand Junction.
At the workshop, organizers will have presentations on test plots from 2000, said organizer Wayne Cooley, Montrose County extension agent.
Test plot information includes fertilizer results in mountain meadows, alfalfa and sugar beets, onion variety trials, reduced-till practices, sweet corn seed treatment and herbicide tests.
There also will be presentations on phosphorus in agriculture, onion disease management strategies and information on Confined Animal Feeding Operations and Animal Feeding Operations at the workshop.
Following the Montrose workshop, at 3:30 p.m., there is a Dry Bean Seed Growers meeting.
The workshop is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. each day and is $15 per person for early registration and $25 after Feb. 2. Lunch is guaranteed for early registers but not for those who register late.
