South Routt The Soroco Rams basketball squads will be stretching out their muscles after the holiday break to play their first and second league games of the year.
Both girls and boys teams square off with North Park today and with Plateau Valley on Saturday.
The girls have a 2-4 record going into the the first game.
"That's going to change this weekend," player Katherine Ford said. "We will be even by next week."
The Rams will have to get the wins by beating 3-2 North Park and 0-5 Plateau Valley.
"I think it should be some pretty good games," girls coach Bob Johnson said.
Boys coach Andy Johnson said his team is ready.
"We look pretty good, actually," Andy Johnson said of his team coming off the break. "We weren't dragging as much as I thought we would."
The boys are 0-6 and look to pick up their first wins against 2-1 North Park and 3-2 Plateau Valley.
"If we can play well and pick up a couple of wins, we'll be in good shape," Andy Johnson said.
The games start with North Park the girls at 6 p.m. and the boys at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at home. The teams then face off against Plateau Valley, with the girls starting at 2:30 p.m. and the boys at 4 p.m. on Saturday at home.
